Life | Detox Diary Day Two

Hi everyone! I'm back with the Detox Diary Day Two (Saturday 4th Jan).

Here's how it all went down, if you'll excuse the pun.

09.00 am - Wake Up. Hot water with lemon.

10.30 am - Breakfast! An egg white omelette with spring onions, tomatoes, mushrooms and spinach. I also had a 1/4 avocado on the side.

11.00 am - Vanilla and Roiboos Tea

12.30 pm - I was heading off to my Godson's 1st Birthday Party and desperately needed a snack as I was rushing out the door. I had an Almond Bounce Ball.

14.30 pm - For lunch I went off-plan! I had some ratatouille left over from before I started the detox. You guys know I have a real issue with waste (literally I have OCD about it), so I wanted to finish it up.

I had a grilled chicken breast with the ratatouille and some watercress, rocket and spinach salad on the side. It was sooo good!

15.00 pm - I met my friend Mel at Spicer + Cole and had a Jasmine Pearl Green Tea. It was delicious, but then I love green tea so I might be biased!

17.00 pm - I was hungry again! I had this Almond & Cranberry Snack Pot tucked away in my bag so munched on this.

21.00 pm - I had dinner way too late today. The detox plan recommends eating your last meal before 7pm, oops. I was running around and went to see my Dad, time just flew. When I finally got home I quickly steamed some Tenderstem Broccoli and heated up a portion of leftover Thai Green Curry. I added some baby spinach leaves to the mix and voila! Within 10 minutes dinner was ready.

I've also drunk a lot of cucumber water today, it's so much more refreshing than plain water!

In terms of how I felt today....

- Hungry! I don't know what was wrong with me but I was basically just peckish all day. Although I ate well I never felt satisfied.

- I also experienced a couple of mild headache's. This is to be expected with a Detox.

- Thirsty. In an insatiable way, my mouth has felt really dry and fluffy all day, eeuuuuuggghhhh.

- Tired. I can't wait to sleep tonight.

23.00 pm Bed Time. Zzzzz.
