Life | Detox Diary Day 3

Hi everyone!

Today was such a busy day. There's so much going on at the moment, even Sunday's have "to-do" lists, grrr.

We had the first viewing of Dan's flat tonight, which means....OMG, we're actually going to move into the house! Not until the end of January, but we've set a date and we're sticking to it, gulp.

I didn't end up going to sleep last night until about midnight and then was awoken by a drunken boy (don't worry it was Dan) at around 3am so decided to have a little lie-in this morning. For those of you that read Day 1 - yep, Dan is on the Detox with me but it was a good friend's Birthday. Apparently he only drank vodka with soda and fresh lime all night but I think when you have about 10 of them it might defeat the point of detox! Even so, he's doing really well at sticking to all the food stuff and is pretty much eating the same as me.

Anyway, here's what happened on Day 3 of the Detox!

10.00 am - Hot Water and Lemon

10.30 am - Granola with Natural Yogurt and Blueberries. This tasted amazing! And substantial. I woke up starving so the granola did a good job of filling me up.

14.00 pm - For lunch I had an Innocent Mexican Sweet Potato Chilli Veg Pot. These things are great. Super quick to prepare, and nutritious. Usually fast food and nutrition don't go hand-in-hand but these totally hit the spot. The chilli one tastes yummy too.

15.00 pm - Vanilla and Roiboos Tea

19.00 pm - For dinner I kind of "tweaked" the plan. It was supposed to be "Fish & Roasted Veg" but we had Tuna Steaks with Nigel Slater's Salsa Verde and steamed Broccoli, Leeks and Courgettes on the side. It was d-lish.

I also drank a lot of fresh water with fresh lime juice throughout the day.

In terms of overall well-being I've felt pretty good today. No headache's or crazy thirst. And I've felt less hungry so I've not had any snacks (unlike Day's 1 and 2).

Good times people. Wish me luck as head in to next week, I need to get super-organised!
