Easter BBQ!!

This blog post was supposed to go up on Easter Monday but then I got ill, euuggh. Anyway before the hacking cough and ridiculously sore throat I had an amazing Easter Sunday!

Dan's family have a tradition of an Easter BBQ, come rain or shine, and luckily this year it was super-sunny!! And also freezing cold!

There was about 25 people there and a mountain of food, everyone chipped in and bought something with them. We basically spent the day eating, drinking and being merry, and by about 10.30pm I was ready for my bed!

Check-out the desserts! Womens Institute eat your heart out. I think there was some kind of Italian Trifle (so yummy with chocolate, cherry brandy, cream), New York Baked Cheesecake and Lemon Drizzle Cake, of course, I had to try some of each, cue complaining that I felt sick and had eaten too much (standard for most Easter's, no?).

Quite possibly my most favourite Easter ever! I'm now thinking BBQ beats Roast Dinner.....controversial?!
